Favorita Live began making savory sauces and condiments from anchovies caught in his native Liguria, Italy and sold them locally for many years under the name La Favorita Fish. He focused on simple, natural products that really allowed the flavor of his top-quality, locally sourced ingredients to shine through. Aside from the distribution level, not much has changed since – there are no preservatives, artificial colors, or hard-to-pronounce ingredients. La Favorita Fish Pesto alla Genovese is a classic basil pesto sauce. Genovese D.O.P. Basil is blended with cashews, pine nuts, and olive oil with a dash of sea salt and just a touch of citric acid to balance the flavors. It makes a beautiful pasta sauce or sandwich spread.
