Peugeot has been manufacturing salt and pepper grinders in France for more than 130 years. They’ve become the industry standard and can be found in the kitchens of the world’s greatest chefs. Today, the Peugeot factory in Quingey, France produces more than 3 million mills every year.
Peugeot’s patented u’Select mechanism allows for infinite adjustments, with 6 pre-defined levels from coarse to ultrafine. Simply turn the ring at the base of the mill to select the grind that’s best for you. Peugeot has developed separate grinding mechanisms for salt and pepper; we suggest you use the mill made for each to ensure superior results. The pepper mechanism features a double row of helix-shaped teeth that crack peppercorns twice for the perfect grind. Peugeot’s salt mechanism is designed to crush coarse cooking salt. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion from moist salt.
